ANTIGUA & BARBUDA CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT.

WHY ANTIGUA & BARBUDA ?

Antigua and Barbuda, an autonomous Commonwealth state in the Eastern Carribean, with around 365 beautiful beaches is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Tourism is the largest contributor towards their Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with most tourists visiting from the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

With a passport of Antigua and Barbuda you can travel visa free to approximately 150 countries, including the U.K., and countries of the Schengen area.

HOW TO OBTAIN ANTIGUA & BARBUDA CITIZENSHIP ?

The country established their Investment Program (CIP) by following parliamentary assent to the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Regulations 2014.

You can obtain Antigua and Barbuda citizenship through three ways of investment:

  1. Contribution to the National Development Fund,
  2. Investment in Real Estate,
  3. University of West Indies (UWI) Fund

CONTRIBUTION TO THE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND

For a Single Applicant:

  • US$230,000 contribution
  • Processing fees: US$10,000        

For a Family of Four:

  • US$230,000 contribution
  • Processing fees: US$20,000

Family of Five & Above:

  • US$230,000 Contribution
  • Processing Fees: US$ 20,000 plus an incremental amount of US$10,000 from the 5th dependent onwards.

INVESTMENT IN REAL ESTATE

Applicants wishing to qualify for citizenship under the real estate option may choose to purchase property valued at minimum US$300,000 .

For a single applicant, or a family of 4 or less

  • Processing fees: US$10,000

For a family of 4:-

  • Processing Fees: US$20,000

For a family of 5 or more:-

  • Processing Fees: US$20,000 + US$10,000 for each additional dependent

University of the West Indies (UWI) Fund

The University of the West Indies Fund (UWI) option is a mechanism for financing UWI’s fourth landed campus.

Applicants to the Citizenship by Investment Programme who choose this option will be required to make an investment of US$260,000 for a family of six (6) or more (i.e. minimum number of persons per application is 6).

Participation in the option will entitle one member of the family to a one year, tuition only, scholarship at the University of the West Indies.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
WHO IS ELIGIBLE ?

Family applications will be considered to include the following family members;

  • A spouse of the main applicant;
  • A child of the main applicant or his or her spouse who is 0-30 years of age and is financially dependent on the principal applicant;
  • A child of the main applicant or of his/her spouse who is 18 years or older, but who is physically or mentally handicapped and who is living with and is fully supported by the main applicant;
  • A parent or grandparent of the main applicant, or his or her spouse, who is 55 years of age or older and who is financially dependent on the principal applicant;
  • A sibling of the main applicant, or of his or her spouse, if unmarried;
  • A future spouse of the main applicant. (A fee of $50,000 is payable upon application);
  • A future spouse of dependent children where the dependent child is financially dependent on the main applicant; and
  • A future child of a dependent child. (A fee of US$10,000 is to be payable for children under 6 years of age and US$20,000 for children 6-17 years of age).

 

For the purposes of the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Programme ‘child’ means a biological or legally adopted child of the main applicant, or of the spouse of the main applicant.

REASONS WHICH COULD LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION
  • If you provide false information on your application.
  • If any family member is suffering from either a contagious disease or a serious health problem.
  • If you have previously been convicted in any country for an offense for which the maximum penalty is in excess of six months imprisonment, or are subject to a criminal investigation.
  • If you are considered a risk to national safety of Antigua & Barbuda, or to any other country, or if you are involved in any such actions which may bring about disgrace to Antigua and Barbuda.
  • If you have been denied a visa to a country with which Antigua and Barbuda has a visa free travel, and if you have not been issued a visa after the denial.
